Rob Long
RB (Rob) Long grew up in the optimistic bright new world of the 60s when the shifting values and sinful ways, the Beatles, the mini skirts and the galloping hormones all contributed to him making a complete dog’s dinner of his GCE O level exams.
Encouraged by his headmaster he joined the army straight from school and rose through the ranks before resigning to becoming an apprentice civilian some twenty-six years later. He joined a large national company as a corporate consigliere before being appointed its CEO. During this time he read for the degree he should have undertaken so much earlier. Later after successfully running two smaller concerns, he took early retirement.
A Parson Russell Terrier enthusiast, Francophile, wine buff and amateur historian, The Best Deal is his first book.
