PASSPORT IN SUSPENSE

‘A superb example of thriller writing at its best’ Sunday Express

‘Third of Dr Love’s supercharged adventures… It starts in the sunshine of the Bahamas, swings rapidly by way of a brunette corpse into Mexico, and winds up in the yacht of a megalomaniac ex-Nazi… Action: non-stop: Tension: nail-biting’ Daily Express

‘His ingenuity and daring are as marked as ever’ Birmingham Post

Dr Jason Love, the country doctor turned occasional unwilling secret agent, has sunshine in the Bahamas and a Mexican vintage car rally to look forward to. His beloved supercharged Cord 812 is safely back in Somerset. Then a young woman is shot dead in a speedboat yards from his holiday villa.

The victim was wearing Shamara Alcantara’s swimsuit. Shamara was the intended target, but why would anyone want her dead? When her mother asks Love to carry a rare book to Mexico City, he agrees to the apparently simple favour. Soon his search for another Cord leads him to a remarkable collection of vintage cars and a deadly trap.

Meanwhile, a West German submarine reported lost during NATO exercises has been sighted thousands of miles from where it sank. Love and Shamara follow a trail of impostors and fugitive Nazis across Mexico and out to sea. It ends aboard a millionaire’s yacht, where a man with a long memory intends to turn the ocean itself into a weapon.

Love has his wits, his medical knowledge and precious little time to stop him.
